This gown was breathtaking.  It was a very neat color.  Not something you typically see in evening gown, but it worked.  The top of the gown was embellished to the nines.  It was sheer and went up around the neck and was just glitzed out.  I loved the unique look of the top and the skirt was also very unique.  It had a rugged look to it that was really mind blowing.  This dress was so cool to look at but didn’t take away from the beauty of the contestant at all.  I loved it.

3.  Miss Australia World

This gown was just absolutely stunning and there are no other words for it.  She left me speechless.  This gown was so dramatic.  It was sheer at the top with a gorgeous purple design working its way down the dress.  It was very fitted at the top and the skirt poofed out giving the dress a very nice contrast.  The purple color was amazing and she looked like a purple iris (yes, that is my form of a compliment).  The gown is great.  I loved it and I loved her.

2.  Miss Trinidad and Tobago World

This dress was also amazing.  It was just so glitzy and glamorous.  It was more like a pageant gown you see in Miss America or Miss USA but it had a very edgy spin on it with the top of the gown going around her neck.  I loved the mermaid and how the dress shifts into different sections.  It was just a very unique dress and great to look at.  The color was fabulous on the contestant.

1.  Miss Venezuela World

My favorite gown in the whole pageant… Miss Venezuela.  You just can’t beat classy and elegant and she was just that.  This gown is perfection.  It’s a beautiful taupe color with a great neckline.  The gown was tight and fitted all the way down to the floor, with a lace overlay on top of the satin material to highlight certain areas of the gown.  The huge skirt just made the gown even better.  It was an amazing evening gown.  I envy her beauty and class and sophistication… but mainly her evening gown.

Thankfully, Megan had a few things she wanted to talk about so she started chatting away and we happily nattered for a while about, well, weddings of course.

She told me about this new venture she's setting up called Weddington. The basic premise is that there are a huge bunch of people wanting to sell wedding dresses, quite a few potential buyers, but the internet is not proving to be the be-all and end-all, with many missing that little step in the middle of the process - the all-important try on!

She also mentioned some amazing things about the psyche of wedding dress shopping; the associated guilt (spending too much / not spending enough etc) and I really related to that so I'm sure you will too.

I have just started a new business called Weddington. Essentially I am arranging market days where I sell people's wedding dresses for them on consignment.

It's great fun so far and I'm really looking forward to the first market on September 1. I started the business because there is a gap between selling / buying dresses online and buying dresses from a traditional wedding dress store.

Also, I got thinking about all the beautiful, expensive dresses hidden in wardrobes after being worn once - what a waste!

The psychology of the dresses has been one of the most fascinating things about starting this business. I really feel for the brides, actually. There is so much pressure around the dress. The dress is where personal expression, fashion sense and budget collide. It can be the biggest source of stress in the entire event.

One thing I have found so fascinating is the amount of guilt women have about wedding dresses.

They can feel guilty for not spending enough, for spending too much, and then, worst of all, they feel guilty if they want to sell the dress after the wedding!

Sometimes I wonder if it's a side effect of the wedding industry telling women that their wedding is the biggest day of their lives / that this is the most important piece of clothing they will ever wear / that the wedding is all about them / they are a princess for a day.

I think with the rise of sites like Pinterest, women are exposed to a whole new level of event planning and feel like they must go all out to have an internet-worthy event. There is competition among brides (and businesses in the wedding industry) to get their weddings featured on sites like Style Me Pretty.

These messages encourage women to spend more on their wedding dress than any other item of clothing in their lives. I spent more on my wedding dress than I had ever spent on a car! (Sure, they were not great cars, but still, I used them more than once!)

I actually now compare buying new wedding dresses with buying new cars - the very moment a wedding dress is purchased, the value drops immediately and considerably (sometimes by 50 per cent, depending on the dress).

I think this might be the source of how much guilt women feel about their dresses - they might have spent more than they wanted to (or could afford), but possibly still feel that it wasn't enough or the dress didn't turn out to be what they wanted after all.

Women are encouraged to forget all they have learnt about shopping for clothing too - where else would we be told that a $ 3500 dress made from polyester fabric that cost less than $ 10 per metre is good value for money?

Sure, there is design involved, and the construction of a wedding dress is more complicated than a regular garment, but these gowns are manufactured in the same way as other clothes - in factories, using standard patterns, the same dress is made many, many times over.

Oftentimes, women will also ignore bad customer service in pursuit of the "perfect" wedding dress. Almost every bride I've talked to has a story about the service they received when buying their dress - one woman told me that she could hear her wedding dress ripping as she walked down the aisle. The dressmaker had ignored her concerns about the dress being too tight and by that stage it was too late for the bride to demand changes to the gown.

All of this is made worse with women then being called Bridezillas if they are not deliriously happy every moment when planning their wedding! It's not enough to experience all of this stress in the vain hope of satisfying everyone, but women have to do it without complaint .

There are many things to love about weddings, but I think there is so much that needs examining and thinking about. While I was thinking about writing to you, I came up with some tips that might be helpful for brides when they are shopping for their dresses.

Hello everyone! How are you doing? I hope you all had a nice weekend? I am so happy that my exams are over right now... I can only think about prom today! Tomorrow I will go to prom (of course I will post some pictures afterwards of my hair, makeup and outfit) and I am so excited! I literally can not wait anymore. In my school it's always a tradition to turn up in an original way. We go by bike, by bus, scooters, limousines and those kind of original representations. Of course I had to find a very original way to turn up and I thought firstly about a golf car... but it just wasn't IT. I thought it would be a little bit small for 10 persons, so I came up with a different idea. I thought it would be so nice to turn up in a huge Dakar truck. I mean, who turns up in that? Yup, me!

The concept of a princess is not left precise . In old days , princess was the one with glass slippers and dreams of her prince charming . But now . It has stuck to luxurious life to exquisite shopping ;) Am I right?

If I were a princess , I would rather buying short & expensive dresses ( The old theme of old long maxis is GONE) .

3- Start a clothing line where expensive dresses can be low as 1000$ .

(I am kidding)

It must be hard to be a princess , I know it is not always "Rainbows and butterflies" . When the kings really ruled the world , princess & prince were not only a part of royal family . They did other jobs like participating in wars and so for other social duties . It could be hard .

But it is never too late to dream ON & ON ;) Who doesn't want to live like princess? Which kind of princess you would want to be? I would be the charmest type with a lot of shopping bags & DIAMONDS!

The most perfect wedding of Bhutan’s king

The story about the Cinderella and the prince has been proved again that it not only existed in the fairy tale world. After the princess Kate Middleton, another queen who was ordinary before marriage appeared in the tiny Bhutan. In the romantic wedding music, Jetsun Pema Wang chuck who sat beside the king felt stressed and nervous mood was written on her face.

That year Wang chuck was thirty one years old. He had a master’s degree in political science at the University of Oxford in England. The king who was 1.8 meters tall and very handsome was honored as “the most charming king”. Wang chuck ascended the throng just 28 years old in 2008 and he was the youngest king all over the world. The king got the education at Boston University and Oxford University. He was very fond of basketball and riding the bike. The outstanding Jetsun Pema Wang chuck was just 21 years old and her father was an avigator. She worked hard at photojournalism major in London.

The king Wang chuck loved Pema at the first sight, even though at that time she was a girl of only 7 years old. It is reported Wang chuck met Pema by chance when she went for an outing that year. And then Wang chuck could not help recalling the scene of making an offer of marriage when he talked about it. He said that he kneed down to propose to Pema at that time and said to her: “I will marry you when you grow up”. Wang chuck’s father has four beautiful imperial concubines. Yet Wang chuck said that he would have just one wife.

On October 13, 2011, in Punakha that was the former capital of Bhutan, the king Wang chuck and the common people Pema hold the wedding ceremony. He was popular in Bhutan as his handsome and talented. His engagement made a great many local young girls heart-broken. The wedding ceremony was broadcasted on TV live. On that day, the king Wang chuck and his wife completed solemn wedding ceremony in a temple of 17th century. Both the bride and the groom wore golden wedding dress and imperial crown. The young bride got a bight red scarf enclosed on her neck, which attracted many people’s eyes. In this royal wedding, the heads of state and the members of royal family were even not gotten the invitation to attend. The cabinet ministers were also advised not to take their wives attended the banquet because of shortage of seats. 

In the street of Thimphu which is the capital of Bhutan, you could see the intimate photos of this royal couple everywhere. The citizens and tourists were scrambling to take photos with the large posters. On the basis of tradition, in a few days after the wedding, the king and his wife would travel to various regions in Bhutan to be blessed by the citizens.

Princess Diana’s Wedding Gown- eternal beauty

    Since ancient times, the story of the Prince and Princess has been staged from fairy tales to reality. On July 29, in 1981 the world’s attention were all focused on a wedding of the century of London which is the first time that a British Crown Prince and Miss British aristocracy married for over 300 years. The groom of the wedding was 32 - year-old British Prince Charles; and the bride was 20-year-old Christina Diana.

For a long time, that the Cinderella overnight transformed into a princess just exists in a fairy tale world. However, when the dream came into reality, the green daisies became a stunning view of British Isles; at the same time the light of England rose immediately and lit up the whole world as well. After the brilliance, beyond everyone’s expectations, the development of this story seems to be not the same as the version of the fairy tale. The prince changed his heart of the princess, and the princess’s fate turned out to be more dramatic than the fairy tale.

Although Princess Diana has already died for more than ten years, she has never forgotten as the existence of a legend. Two missing dresses of Amy Winehouse

Foreign media reported that someone had ransacked the late famous singer Amy Winehouse’s house that she lived in when she was alive. Two sign evening dress of her were stolen, which was worth 130 thousand pounds in all. Amy’s father Mitchell reared up in a temper for this. 

It was said the two stolen evening dress were respectively a wedding dress that Amy had at her wedding and a cocktail dress that she wore taking part in the television program. The missing dresses were quite precious. Amy’s father Mitchell, who was 60 years old this year, told the reporter that it was real a heavy blow to him. How dare someone steal such valuable dresses? Such conduct was nauseating.

The stolen room was the one that Amy live when she passed away, after which her fans built the house into Memorial Hall of Amy Winehouse. There was also someone who put some flowers outside. And the little evening dress that was stolen was used to be cautioned and raised money for the Amy Winehouse Fund.

The thief was said to have stolen the cotton pattern skirt that Amy wore when she got married with Black Field. And Amy had worn the other missing cocktail dress which was printed newspaper pattern on a BBC music program in the late 2006. Both the dresses were packed because of their caution in New York. The wedding dress was estimated to be cautioned at 100 thousand pounds and the cocktail dress at 30 thousand pounds. All the money received would be used as Amy Winehouse fund, which was set up in memory of Amy when she died in July, 2011. All the money would be donated to the children hospital and drug rehabilitation center. More than 1 million pounds had been raised so far.

Mitchell told the reporter that all the goods in the house was classified and signed as they planned to sell Amy’s house. But they could not figure out why they stole the two dresses rather than other countless dresses which were more valuable. The wedding dress was really ordinary, and the cocktail dress was not as good as other name brand dress. But they just selected the two and did not touch other dress at all, which was suspect. Mitchell said there were several people that had came into the house recently. So the possibility that the dresses were stolen at that time was large.

Amy was born in an ordinary Jewish family in the north of London on 14^th, September, 1983. Her grandmother found her art talent when she was eight and sent her to the drama school. She formed a band at the age of ten. In 2002, the 19-year-old Amy was discovered by the brokerage firm of Simon Fuller, a big-time manager and founder of "American Idol" series shows. She set the world on fire when she released her first album Frank in 2003. She rewarded five awards in the 50^th Grammy and became the proudest English singers.
